Some people say the Internet is oversaturated with recipe blogs.
I say: there’s room for one more grumpy home chef.
Hi! My name is Cordelia and I hate cooking.
But, thanks to a string of minor misfortunes–gestational diabetes, autoimmune disease, and kids with food allergies among them–I’ve had to learn how to cook.
With great reluctance and a semi-burned oven mitt, I’ve become more comfortable in the kitchen.
This blog won’t teach you how to love cooking. I don’t.
What this blog will do is help get you more comfortable in the kitchen, with tips from a frantic, bemused, overextended mom just trying to serve a meal that won’t make anyone actively ill, goddammit. My recipes are for those looking for quick, easy meals that require minimal confidence, desire, or skill.
What you’ll find
- A lot of measuring from the heart
- Easy meals for special diets
- Shortcuts
- Complaining
What you won’t find
- Recipes that require precision
- Recipes with a million ingredients
- Guilt–mom, calorie, or otherwise
Do you feel like you’d rather listen to a 10-hour Minions compilation than plan and cook one more dinner that somehow fits everyone’s special diets? Me too. & welcome–this blog is for you.
